About Us - Objectives

Short-term objective: Productivity

We aim to produce a newsletter which:

1. is politically balanced;
2. is useful to teachers;
3. is appealing to school pupils;
4. has an initial focus on 16-18 year olds;
5. can dovetail with the national curriculum but not repeat it.

We aim to create a website which:

1. will promote the goals and ethos of Projecting Politics;
2. disseminates information about British politics;
3. will become a resource for teachers and pupils of politics and citizenship;
4. acts as a forum for volunteers to maximise their resource potential.

In terms of publicity and sponsorship, we aim:

1. to gain support from teachers, politicians and education experts;
2. to gain financial backing;
3. to gain a good and widespread reputation.


Medium-term objective: Interactivity
The newsletters will:

1. become a place where pupils can contribute ideas and opinions;
2. be extended to students of all ages.

This website will become interactive and a place which makes learning fun through discussion forums and other forms of interactivity.

We aim for the organisation to branch out into other areas, such as events. In terms of publicity and sponsorship, these will be ongoing campaigns to create the resources for expansion.


Long-term objective: Sustainability

We aim to create a long-lasting and self-sustaining programme through:

1. recruitment of volunteers;
2. permanent financial support.

We aim ultimately to increase political participation amongst school leavers and to this end hope to reach as many young people as possible.
